Glenn Holliday
I first became interested in the night sky through the Scouting program. I am familiar with both astronomy and Scouting. I have volunteered to lead or assist astronomy programs for Scout and school events many times. I created these Web pages as a resource for other amateur astronomers who may wish to assist Scout groups to learn astronomy and achieve various astronomy-related awards.
I am an amateur astronomer, having been a beginner since 1962. I am a member of Rappahannock Astronomy Club, and currently its Webmaster. My astronomical slogan is "No matter where you look, there's something pretty."
I have been or am now a Cub Scout, a Boy Scout, an Eagle Scout, an Explorer, an assistant Scoutmaster, a Webelos Den leader, a Boy Scout parent, a Cub Scout parent, and a Girl Scout parent and volunteer. I am currently an assistant Scoutmaster with Boy Scout Troop 1908. I am a Merit Badge Counselor for Mattaponi District, National Capital Area Council. One of my listed merit badge specialties is Astronomy.
Please contact me with comments and feedback about these Web pages. I welcome opportunities to improve them. Please contact the Rappahannock Astronomy Club if you would like the club to assist your astronomy program.
